Dwarf Clusia
or Clusia Nana has been a wide hit in the landscaping world and in the common
land owners taste who are looking to simple spice up their property with a
gorgeous, simplistic ornamental plant, or maybe just find the best available
small ground cover hedge to protect their home and offer them the look and decoration
they desire. The Dwarf clusia or Clusia “nana” is one of the best (considered
by many) the best small hedge or ground cover plant available today to line
your driveways pool decks or under your windows, not only for its dense
coverage, but also for its durability. If your true goal is to provide a nice
look with a quarter size plant leave that looks fancy and won’t catch white fly
there is no better hedge than a clusia dwarf one. Although a slow grower and it
won’t grow taller than around 3 feet the Clusia Nana is a great option for a
step down hedge. The clusia nana is also great because it is low maintenance,
once fertilized here at Farm Networks you will not need to fertilize your new
clusia dwarf for at least another year, as we use a special, slow release
fertilizer that will continue to nourish your plants for an entire year. The
trimming on the Clusia nana is also essential to maintain it full and growing
evenly, every six months at least 2 inches should be tripped of the top of the
plant only to force it to grow sideways and help you maintain the coverage that
you enjoy without getting leggy or without your clusia nana hedge loosing
leaves towards the bottom of the plant. The clusia nana or dwarf clusia is very
easy to maintain, for the first two weeks they should be watered daily to
ensure that their establishment period goes well and they get rooted correctly,
after the initial 2 week establishment period your clusias nana will take of
beautifully and with all the rain In south florida will grow into a gorgeous

different types of clusia in the family, the clusia nana or dwarf clusia being
the smallest leaf and used mostly as ground cover, the clusia guttifera is the
one used for hedge and the clusia rosea is used for tree form. As far as clusia
nana installation tips, you must open a hole as big as the pots depending on
pot size, but since clusia nana mostly only comes in 3 and 7 gallon the spacing
is 1 foot apart for the 3 gallon and 2 feet apart for the 7 gallon.
